An elegant Gustav Becker weight regulator from circa 1900. The cabinet is made of richly grained Walnut, (the most valued type of wood for these clocks) and all of the original finials are present and correct. The porcelain dial (enamel on brass) is in pristine condition, with no chips or hairline cracks which one often finds in these types of clocks. The brass pendulum bob is without dents, and the weights are also excellent. Overall condition is quite outstanding. This particular model is quite rare, and one rarely comes across Gustav Beckers as well preserved and authentic as this one. This clock has an eight days movement, and chimes pleasantly on the hour and half-hour on a spring gong. Size is: 120 cm.
