Here is an imposing Black Forest clock with all of the style and quality that one expects from Gustav Becker.
The cabinet is mahogany, and all of the finials (including the eagle gallery piece) seem to be completely original. Condition throughout is exceptional. The porcelain dial is immaculate with no cracks or hairlines. The pendulum bob and weights are very good also. The movement is of eight days duration, and chimes are on the hour and half-hour on a melodious gong.This uncommon clock dates from approx 1900-1910, and is of substantial size. 150x50 cm.
