Gustav Becker Box Regulator

Here is an elegant art-nouveau influenced Gustav Becker from circa 1920. The cabinet is in Oak with delicate and intricate carving work throughout. This one is unusual in that these types of clocks almost always have a silvered metal dial, but this one has an enameled face which is normally associated with the more exclusive Vienna Regulators such as those seen on the previous pages. This clock is in super condition! The dial is pristine with no hairlines or chipping, and the case is close to perfect. This clock has an eight days movement, and chimes on the hour and half our on a set of three tuned metal rods that are sometimes called 'bim bam' chimes. The sound is melodious and pleasing. Everything about this clock indicates very little usage during it's 90 years. Height is: 90cm
