This is an exceptional Lenzkirch free-swinger from approx 1890. The case is Oak with a fine age-patina, and the cabinet work is as extraordinary as one would expect with any Lenzkirch clock. This clock is adorned with thirty gold-coloured metal ornaments (some are more like copper than brass) which are as yet un-polished as the clock is being sold in original as found condition. The pendulum features a beautiful cherub, and this one is rarer than the two-cherub examples. There are some scuff marks on the silvered part of the dial which can be easily re-silvered, and if this were done the clock would be close to mint. This clock has an eight days movement, and chimes on the hour and half hour on a mellow gong.Size is: 88X46 cm.
